The Organized Neighborhoods of Palm Springs (ONE-PS) 15th Annual Picnic & Community Expo celebrating the residents, organizations and businesses of Palm Springs will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, and Tahquitz River Estates will be in attendance! The event will be at Ruth Hardy Park from 11 a.m to 2 p.m., open to all Palm Springs residents and their families interested in organizing their neighborhoods.

Highlights of the event include:

Free picnic lunch from local restaurants
Talking with local neighborhoods, agencies, and businesses
Hoops contest for school age youth
Hot Air Balloon rides!
Dog contest for the many dogs in our neighborhoods. Enter your cutie! Prizes given.
Live performances by Parks and Recreation performers
Cash prize for best Neighborhood booth!

Tahquitz River Estates Neighborhood Council

Welcome to Tahquitz River Estates Neighborhood, Truly The most diverse in all of Palm Springs!

The neighborhood sits on both sides of the Tahquitz "wash" just south of central Palm Springs. It was not always called Tahquitz River Estates. In the early 1930's, the first development was called Palos Verdes Estates and is still populated with charming "Old Palm Springs" Spanish revival homes. Some of these bungalows were under construction even before Palm Springs became incorporated back in 1938!
